NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Three-sport athlete\u00a0Sam Bork\u00a0<\/strong>of Appleton, Wis. will head to warmer climate and focus on swimming after announcing his verbal commitment to Florida State University for the fall of 2022.<\/p>\n

He will join Jaydon Cunningham<\/strong><\/a> of Chesapeake Beach, Md. in Tallahassee as a member of the Seminoles’ Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I chose FSU because of the incredible atmosphere that is created by the hard workers there and more importantly because the staff really stood out to me like none other during my recruiting process. They show that they care about you as not just an athlete but about you as a person and want what\u2019s best for you. That feeling of belonging only grew talking to the swimmers and it greatly impacted my decision of starting my next chapter in the sunshine state!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bork, who does his club swimming with Mid-Wisconsin Wave Makers, has picked up six new lifetime bests since the beginning of the pandemic. He finaled in the 50m free and 100m fly at the TYR Pro Swim Series – Des Moines last March and took 17th in the 50 free at Juniors West in December 2019.<\/p>\n
