The No. 6 women\u2019s team topped 14th-ranked Virginia Tech, 168-126. The men, also ranked No. 6, outlasted the No. 15 Hokies, 164-136.<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, NC State\u2019s senior sprinters went 1-2 in the 50 freestyle, courtesy of <strong>Victoria Fonville<\/strong> and <strong>Sirena Rowe.<\/strong> Rowe and Fonville swam on the winning 200 free relay (with 100 breaststroke winner Sophie Hansson), and Rowe swam fly on the victorious 200 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>Classmate <strong>Julia Poole<\/strong> won the 200 free, and <strong>Jacob Johnson<\/strong> claimed the men\u2019s 200 backstroke.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kylee Alons<\/strong> kept up her stellar season, the junior leading off that winning medley relay. She won the 100 free and 100 back before posting the top time in the 200 individual medley.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Megan Pulley<\/strong> swept the butterfly events, her time of 1:59.46 in the 200 fly entering the NC State all-time top 10 at ninth. <strong>Emma Muzzy<\/strong> was quickest in the 200 back, and <strong>Abby Arens<\/strong> topped the field in the 200 breast.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ross Dant\u2019s<\/strong> distance domination continued for the NC State men, winning the 1,000 and 500 free. Depth served the Wolfpack, with the teams splitting the 12 individual events in half. <strong>Kacper Stukowski<\/strong> won the 100 backstroke and led off both victorious relays (the 200 medley with <strong>Rafal Kusto, Luke Sobolewski<\/strong> and <strong>Giovanni Izzo;<\/strong> the 200 free with <strong>Hunter Tapp, Noah Henderson<\/strong> and Izzo).<\/p>\n<p>Kusto won the 100 breast and was second in the 200. Henderson claimed the 50 free to go with a runner-up finish in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blake Manoff<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 200 free and 100 free and was third in the 100 fly <a href=\"https:\/\/hokiesports.com\/news\/2021\/1\/30\/swimming-diving-manoff-coll-marti-zawadzki-travis-and-moravek-each-find-two-first-place-finishes.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">for Virginia Tech<\/a>. <strong>Carles Coll Marti<\/strong> was first in the 200 IM and 200 breast to go with a runner-up result in the 100 breast. <strong>Antani Ivanoff<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 200 fly, and 50-free runner-up <strong>Youssef Ramadan<\/strong> won the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia Tech got a big boost in diving. <strong>Noah Zawadzki<\/strong> won both men\u2019s event, with <strong>Taj Cole<\/strong> second on three-meter. <strong>Teagan Moravek<\/strong> swept the women\u2019s events.<\/p>\n<p>The Hokies got a breakthrough in distance, with <strong>Chase Travis<\/strong> and <strong>Brooke Travis<\/strong> going 1-2 in both the 1,000 and 500 free. <strong>Sarah Shackelford<\/strong> was second in the 100 free and third in the 50. <strong>Emma Atkinson<\/strong> took second in both the 100 and 200 back.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NC State capped its regular season with a pair of victories over Virginia Tech on Senior Day Saturday.
