It lowers the pool mark of 22.70 that Larson set l<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/utah-breaks-three-pool-records-in-victory-at-washington-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ast week in a dual meet against Utah<\/a>. It improves her NCAA B cut in the event.<\/p>\n<p>Larson also was part of a pair of winning relays, anchoring the 400 medley and leading off the 200 free. Washington swept all but one event, starting with the 400 medley squad of <strong>Kiana Swain, Mackenzie Duarte, Kaya Takashige<\/strong> and Larson, in a 1-2 result. Duarte and Takashige went 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke. Duarte would go on to claim the 200 breast and 100 individual medley. Swain won the 200 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p>Larson, <strong>Hailey Grotte, Paige Gardner<\/strong> and Takashige won the 200 free relay to cap the meet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor McCoy<\/strong> assembled an impressive meet, winning the 400 IM, 100 backstroke and 200 back for the Cougars. <strong>Josie Liebzeit<\/strong> won the 200 free, Grotte claimed the 100 free and Takashige was victorious in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zoie Froh<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/govandals.com\/news\/2021\/1\/29\/womens-swimming-and-diving-swim-drops-dual-meet-at-wsu.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">led Idaho by winning the 500 free<\/a>, edging Liebzeit by .37 seconds. Froh added a runner-up finish in the 400 IM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rilie Krieg<\/strong> (200 free), <strong>Rylie Jones<\/strong> (100 fly, 200 fly), <strong>Morgan Votava<\/strong> (200 back), <strong>Kaling Phung<\/strong> (100 IM) also supplied second-place results for the Vandals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chloe Larson set her second Gibb Pool record in as many meets in the 50 freestyle as Washington State topped Idaho, 162-98, on Friday night.
