NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Futures qualifier\u00a0Teigen Detta\u00a0<\/strong>of Bellingham, Wash. has announced her commitment to Southern Illinois University and will arrive on campus in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m super excited to be joining the SIU family! I can\u2019t wait to see what the future holds, and I know the support and culture at SIU will be unmatched and allow me to continue to grow as a swimmer and person! GO DAWGS!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented sprinter, Detta does her club swimming with Bellingham Bay Swim Team and last competed at the Washington Open where she earned a best time after finaling in the 100 free at the Husky Invitational. In Summer 2019, she sprinted to 10th in the 100m free at Pacific Northwest LCM Seniors before going on to race three events at Mount Hood Futures.<\/p>\n
