NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Minnesota has received their third early verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Ava Yablonski\u00a0<\/strong>of Sherborn, Mass.<\/p>\n

She will join fellow Massachusetts native\u00a0Ella Smith<\/a><\/strong> as well as Faith Johnson<\/a> <\/b>as a member of the Golden Gophers\u2019 Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Minnesota! Their amazing coaching staff and team made me feel so welcomed! I\u2019m beyond thrilled to continue my athletic and academic career while being part of the gopher community! I want to thank my friends, family, and coaches who have pushed and supported me along the way! GO GOPHERS!!!\"?\"“<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yablonski does her club swimming with\u00a0Metrowest YMCA Stingrays and recorded five top-8 finishes at the 18&U Winter Championships last month after placing fifth in the 100 back at New England Seniors last winter. In Summer 2019, she picked up seven lifetime bests at New England LCM Seniors before going on to compete at Geneva Futures.<\/p>\n
