This incredible opportunity wouldn\u2019t be possible without the support of all my coaches, teammates, family, and friends. The outstanding UT coaching and team camaraderie is a dream come true and I can\u2019t wait to contribute in every way possible to my future longhorn family! Hook \u2018em<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/13.0.0\/svg\/1f920.svg\" alt=\"?\" \/>&#8220;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A talented distance freestyler, Haskal now trains with Austin Swim Club and notched a best time in the 500 freestyle at the 18&amp;U Winter Championships last month after earning a trio of lifetime bests at the Toyota U.S. Open. He also recorded four top-4 finishes at East LA Sectionals in December 2019.<\/p>\n<p>In Summer 2019, he placed 13th in the 1500m free and 17th in the 400m free at Santa Clarita Sectionals before going on to have a strong showing at Mount Hood Futures. That summer, he also\u00a0represented Team USA at the Pan American Maccabi Games in Mexico City where he collected 11 medals, seven of them gold.<\/p>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 free \u2013 1:37.71<\/li>\n<li>500 free \u2013 4:28.71<\/li>\n<li>1000 free \u2013 9:19.80<\/li>\n<li>1650 free \u2013 15:46.71<\/li>\n<li>200 IM \u2013 1:59.00<\/li>\n<li>400 IM \u2013 4:08.93<\/li>\n<li>200 back \u2013 1:57.70<\/li>\n<li>200 fly \u2013 1:54.56<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at The Buckley School, Haskal raced the 500 free at the CIF State Championships during his freshman season.
