She was most recently at the University of Hawaii at Manoa as a distance\/breaststroke coach. Among her charges are Swiss champion <strong>Cherelle Oestringer,<\/strong> open-water swimmer <strong>Haley Chasin<\/strong> and U.S. national teamer <strong>Stephanie Peacock.<\/strong> She also coached at the University of North Dakota as an assistant for the men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are fortunate to have someone of her caliber join our team,&#8221; Pfeiffer Director of Athletics <strong>Danielle Lafferty<\/strong> said in a university statement. &#8220;Meredith brings both tremendous personal and professional experience and accomplishments to our program and we are excited to see all that she can bring to both our swimming program and to our University. She has such passion and love for the sport that I believe will take our swimming program to the next level.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Novack, a native of Florida, graduated from Georgia Southern, where she lettered for the Eagles. She competed in triathlons for 14 years, representing the United States at four world championships and was the American captain at the 1996 World University Games. In 2004, she was elected to the USA Triathlon\u2019s Athlete Advisory Council. She\u2019s also completed a number of open water swims, including the 32-kilometer swim from Lanai to Maui and back via Hawaii\u2019s Auau Channel in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Novack replaces <strong>Brad Flood<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofalconsports.com\/sports\/wswim\/2020-21\/releases\/20201106h300n7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">who announced his retirement in November<\/a>.
