Martinenghi’s time ranks behind only his PB of 58.75 at the Italian Winter Championships<\/strong> in December and the 59.01 from the 2017 World Junior Championships which still stands a WJR.<\/p>\n

He now has three of the four fastest times in Italian history with Fabio Scozzoli<\/strong>‘s 2019 effort of 59.05 ranking third.<\/p>\n

It concluded a fine competition for Martinenghi who had swum his second-fastest 50br on Saturday and by extension the second fastest by an Italian.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old posted a time of 26.68, 0.12secs outside his national record of 26.56 set in December.<\/p>\n

Kamminga was second – 0.78secs adrift – in 27.46 with Alessandro Pinzuti<\/strong> rounding out the podium (27.59).<\/p>\n

The three-time European short-course champion ended the meet with gold in the 200br in a meet mark of 2:09.35 and silver in the 50 and 100 behind Martinenghi.<\/p>\n

Pellegrini, the 2008 Olympic 200fr champion had won the 100fr on Saturday in 55.35 ahead of Marrit Steenbergen<\/strong> (55.53) who led home her Netherlands team-mate Kira Toussaint<\/strong> (55.74).<\/p>\n
It was the same finishing order over four lengths on Sunday with the Italian winning in 1:59.07 ahead of Steenbergen (2:01.66).<\/p>\n
Pellegrini also won the 200 back (2:13.45) and finished second over 50 free, 0.01 behind Algeria’s Amel Melih<\/strong> who set a meet mark of 26.04.<\/p>\n
Nils Liess<\/strong> won the men’s 200fr in 1:48.83.<\/p>\n
Toussaint lowered the 100 back meet mark of 1:00.50 in Sunday’s heats to 59.85, splitting 29.17\/30.68, ahead of countrywoman Maaike De Waard<\/strong> (1:03.41).<\/p>\n
It rounded off a successful meet which also saw her win the 50 back title in 28.05 and finish second over 200.<\/p>\n
Yohann Ndoye Brouard<\/strong> produced a speedy 53.92 effort in the men’s equivalent, splitting 26.08\/27.84 to add to his gold over 50m.<\/p>\n

Roman Mityukov<\/strong> – who had set a Swiss record of 1:57.39 over 200 back on Saturday – was second behind the Frenchman in 54.79.<\/p>\n
Giacomo Corini<\/strong> won the 200 fly in 1:58.95, almost seven seconds ahead of Igor Saric<\/strong> who clocked 2:05.79 in a final featuring just four men.<\/p>\n
Nyls Korstanje<\/strong> set a meet record of 23.32 to take the 50 fly a day after winning the two-length race in 53.28.<\/p>\n
Maxime Grousset<\/strong> was second in 23.50 to conclude a meet in which he won the 50\/100 free double in 22.27 and 49.09 respectively.<\/p>\n
Kim Busch<\/strong> took the women’s 50 fly title in 26.49 and\u00a0Jessica Steiger<\/strong> won the women’s 100br in 1:09.45 to add to the 50br she won on Friday in 31.97.<\/p>\n
