NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Houston, Texas native\u00a0Ella Flowers\u00a0<\/strong>has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Southern California and will arrive on campus in the fall of 2022.<\/p>\n

She will join Thailand National Teamer Nisha Kijkanakorn <\/strong><\/a>and Canadian National Junior Teamer Ashley McMillan<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Trojans\u2019 Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I couldn\u2019t be happier to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Southern California!! I would like to thank my parents, brothers, coaches, teammates, and friends for supporting me. Can\u2019t wait to be a part of the Trojan family\ufe0f #FIGHTON\ufe0f\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

An extremely versatile swimmer, Flowers does her club swimming with RICE Aquatics and is a multi-time Junior National qualifier. She most recently competed at the 18&U Winter Championships where she finished sixth in the 400 IM, ninth in the 200 breast, 10th in the 200 fly, and 14th in the 100 breast. She also competed at the Toyota U.S. Open back in November and raced to 17th in the 400 IM at Juniors West last winter.<\/p>\n

In Summer 2019, she grabbed bronze in the 200m IM at Austin Sectionals before going on to achieve four best times at the Gulf Summer Championships. Flowers then finished 19th in the 400m IM at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n

Flowers was also selected to attend the USA Swimming National Select Camp in 2018.<\/p>\n
