The time is under FINA&#8217;s established mark of 22.43 set in 2016 as Minakov will be ineligible for world junior records next year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/russwimming.ru\/upload\/live\/4R_SC_2020\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Results<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Minakov&#8217;s time puts him 23rd all-time in the 50 butterfly as he is now fifth all-time in Russia, just behind Olympic medalist <strong>Evgeny Korotyshkin\u00a0<\/strong>(22.33) and ahead of\u00a0<strong>Daniil Markov\u00a0<\/strong>(22.40). Minakov won ahead of\u00a0<strong>Alexander Sadovnikov\u00a0<\/strong>(22.60). For context, 22.34 would have been sixth in the ISL this season. Minakov will be a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-silver-medalist-andrei-minakov-sends-massive-verbal-commitment-to-stanford\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> freshman at Stanford<\/a> next year.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s juniors showed out well in St. Petersburg as\u00a0<strong>Ilya Borodin<\/strong>, who set a world junior record in long course earlier this year, won the 400 IM at 4:01.91 ahead of\u00a0<strong>Daniil Pasynkov\u00a0<\/strong>(4:06.81). Borodin&#8217;s time would have put him third in the ISL this season had he competed. He is still only 17-years-of-age and got close to the world junior record of 3:59 by world record holder\u00a0<strong>Daiya Seto<\/strong>. The time was also a season best for Pasynkov, who was ranked 20th in the ISL with a 4:07.<\/p>\n<p>16-year-old\u00a0<strong>Evgeniia Chikunova\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 breaststroke with a 1:04.35 as she improved on her best of 1:05.1, moving to second all-time in Russia behind Olympic silver medalist\u00a0<strong>Yulia Efimova\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.91) from 2016. Chikunova won narrowly ahead of\u00a0<strong>Maria Temnikova\u00a0<\/strong>(1:04.69), who also improved on her best of 1:04.9 from last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Irina Krivonogova\u00a0<\/strong>took the 200 IM with a 2:10.74.
