NEW COMMIT: <\/b>Eastern Michigan University has received a new commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from <\/span>Avery Willis <\/b>of Waterloo, Ontario.<\/span><\/p>\n

She will join<\/span> Ashley George<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Abby Szadorski<\/b><\/a>, and <\/span>Emily Brown<\/b><\/a> as a member of the Eagles\u2019 class of 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am so incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Eastern Michigan University. So thankful for all the friends, family, and coaches who have cheered me on along the way. I can hardly wait to get in the pool with such an amazing team! Go Eagles!!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Willis, who trains with Club Warriors, last competed at the Winter Ontario Youth Junior Championships in March where she placed third in the 200m fly and sixth in the 200m IM. Last December, she finished 18th in both IM events at the Ontario Junior International meet and raced three events at the Canadian Swimming Trials in April 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
