Photo Courtesy: Swimming World Archive<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m very excited to welcome Matt to the Columbia women&#8217;s swimming and aquatics&#8217; coaching staff,&#8221; said Caskey. &#8220;He brings wonderful energy, a great coaching background, a keen technical eye and broad and multifaceted connections in the swim world.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to working with Asphalt Green the last two years, Hall spent 2012-18 as a club coach for the Wilton Y Wahoos. He has helped produce five YMCA National Championship teams, five Olympic Trials qualifiers and 25 Junior Nationals qualifiers.<\/p>\n<p>An accomplished student-athlete himself at the University of Tennessee, Matt Hall&#8217;s accolades include winning the 1997 Southeastern Conference title in the 500-yard freestyle, helping the Volunteers to a fourth-place team finish at the 1998 NCAA Championships, as well as holding the varsity team record in the 400 IM from 1997-2004.
