If it wasn\u2019t for my wonderful family, coaches, and teammates I wouldn\u2019t have had this opportunity to swim for such an excellent program. I felt like this university would be a great fit for me to continue swimming because it has so many things I wanted in a college, and it has great coaches and teammates. \u00a0I can\u2019t wait to be a part of it. Go Blue Devils!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Meredith, who trains year-round with Lakeside Swim Team, last competed at the U.S. Open where she notched a best time. She finished 16th in the 100 back and 24th in the 200 free at Juniors East last December and finaled in both backstroke events at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Des Moines last winter.<\/p>\n<p>In Summer 2019, she was a seven-time finalist at Greensboro Sectionals before going on to win the 200m free and 200m back at the Kentucky LCM Championships. She also raced three events at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 back &#8211; 25.33<\/li>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 54.39<\/li>\n<li>200 back &#8211; 2:00.32<\/li>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 23.27<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 50.61<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:49.81<\/li>\n<li>100 fly &#8211; 55.17<\/li>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 2:03.50<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Sacred Heart Academy, Meredith is already a four-time individual Kentucky State Championship finalist. She placed third in the 50 free and fourth in the 100 back as a sophomore while grabbing bronze in both the 100 back and 200 IM during her freshman season.<\/p>\n<p>Meredith, who helped her team clinch their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/gabi-albiero-ella-welch-set-records-sacred-heart-wins-eighth-straight-kentucky-girls-state-title\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">eighth-straight<\/a> team title last season, anchored the winning 4&#215;50 medley relay in a quick 22.85 to break the state record. She has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts in the pool and in the classroom.<\/p>\n<p>Even with 1.5 years of club swimming still to go before arriving on campus, Meredith will make an immediate impact.
