NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Junior National qualifier\u00a0Lydia Hanlon\u00a0<\/strong>of Tallahassee, Fla. has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Kentucky beginning in the fall of 2022.<\/p>\n

She will join Grace Frericks<\/b><\/a>, Marin McKee<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Jordan Agliano<\/b><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Breckin Gormley<\/b><\/a> in Lexington as a member of the Wildcats’ Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“SO excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Kentucky!! I\u2019m so thrilled to join such an amazing group & can\u2019t wait to see what the future holds! Looking forward to seeing what God has in store for me in Lexington. Huge thank you to my friends, family, and coaches for all their continuous support! GO WILDCATS???”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented backstroker and butterflyer, Hanlon does her club swimming with Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club and raced four events at Juniors East last December. She also recorded a trio of top-15 finishes at the Florida OT Qualifier in February.<\/p>\n

In Summer 2019, she won the 50m fly and was the runner-up in the 100m fly at the Florida LCM Age Group Championships before going on to earn bronze in the 100m fly at Greensboro Sectionals.<\/p>\n
