NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>UCLA has been forming an incredible recruiting class for the fall of 2022, and their latest verbal commitment comes from in-state standout Morganne Malloy<\/strong> of Ladera Ranch, Calif.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Katrina Bellio<\/strong><\/a>, Rosie Murphy<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Ava Lachey<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Fay Lustria<\/b><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Courtney Seljeseth<\/b><\/a>\u00a0as a member of the Bruins\u2019 Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to continue my academics and swim career at UCLA!!! Thank you to my family for always supporting me, my coach for guiding me through this process, and my friends for all the amazing memories! Go Bruins!!! ???”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Malloy, who does her club swimming with Irvine Novaquatics under coach Adam Crossen<\/strong>, owns the Olympic Trials cut in both breaststroke events.\u00a0At Juniors West last December, she dropped nearly three seconds in the 200 breast to finish fifth while also winning the B-final of the 100 breast.<\/p>\n

In Summer 2019, she finished eighth in the 100m breast at Junior Nationals. Malloy also swept the breaststroke events at the Southern California 14&U Junior Olympic Championships in March 2019.<\/p>\n
