NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Notre Dame has received their third early verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season from U.S. Open qualifier Mary Codevilla<\/strong> of Longmont, Colo.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Renee Gillilan<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Grace Brenneman<\/strong><\/a> as a member of the Fighting Irish\u2019s Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME! Huge thanks to my family, friends, and coaches for all their support! I can\u2019t wait to be a part of the Irish family!! A versatile swimmer, Codevilla does her club swimming with Elevation Athletics and finished eighth in the 400 IM, 12th in the 500 free, and 16th in the 200 IM at Juniors West last December. In Summer 2019, she registered a pair of top-5 finishes at Mount Hood Sectionals before going on to race four events at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n
