Zoie Hartman<\/strong> of Georgia and Texas A&M\u2019s Shaine Casas<\/strong> were named Swimmers of the Week in SEC Weekly Honors Tuesday. For Casas, it\u2019s the fourth time in five weeks he\u2019s earned the nod.<\/p>\n

Hartman\u2019s teammate Jake Magahey<\/strong> and Casas\u2019s mate Chloe Stepanek<\/strong> were named Freshmen of the Week. Arkansas\u2019s Brooke Schultz<\/strong> and LSU\u2019s Juan Celaya-Hernandez<\/strong> are the Divers of the Week.<\/p>\n

Casas was the star of the Art Adamson Invitational with five wins. He set a school record of 1:38.95 in the 200 individual medley, also the top time in the nation. He also posted the fastest time in the nation with a 43.87 in the 100 backstroke and helped the Aggies win the 200 medley, 400 medley and 200 free relays.<\/p>\n

Hartman was part of eight wins for the Bulldogs at the Georgia Invitational. The sophomore clinched NCAA A cuts in the 100 breaststroke (59.34) and 200 breaststroke (2:06.34). The latter time is the fastest in the nation this season, while her 100 breast time is the second-fastest, as is the 1:54.35 she posted in the 200 IM (1:54.35).<\/p>\n

Hartman, a native of Danville, Calif., took part in all five of the Bulldogs\u2019 winning relays. The 800 freestyle relay posted the fastest time in the nation at 7:03.94.<\/p>\n

Stepanek won four events and was part of five winning relays for the Aggies. The Northport, N.Y. native won the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free and 500 free. Her time in the 100, 47.84 seconds, is the second-fastest time in the nation this season and fourth-fastest in A&M history. She also anchored the victorious 200 and 400 medley and 800 free relays, winning the award for a second time this season.<\/p>\n

Magahey, last week\u2019s men\u2019s SEC Swimmer of the Week, earns his second Freshman of the Week honor with five wins at the Georgia Invite. He was part of the Bulldogs setting a school record of 2:49.27 in the 400 free relay with a 42.86 split. Magahey won the 500 free in an A cut of 4:10.48 and the 1,650 in 14:33.78, the latter the fastest time in the nation. He also won the 200 free with the fourth-fastest time in Georgia history and anchored the winning 800 free relays nation-best time of 6:16.42.<\/p>\n

Schultz won the one-meter event at the Texas Diving Invitational with a score of 348.95 points. She was the runner-up at three meters with a 359.10 tally. She wins the award for the second time this season.<\/p>\n

Celaya-Hernandez is the men\u2019s diver of the week for the second straight week. The Mexican international won the one-meter competition at the Texas Diving Invitational in dominant fashion with 423.00 points. He was the runner-up at three meter (467.55) and platform (466.05).<\/p>\n
