The yearly program honors the clubs that produce the highest-achieving swimmers who are 18 years and younger. NCAP, which is based in the Washington, D.C. area, totaled 71,900 according to the scoring table, which allowed it to easily outdistance SwimMac Carolina, which finished second with 47,489 points. The top-26 clubs were named Gold Medal Clubs.<\/p>\n<p>Nation&#8217;s Capital was fueled by the likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/phoebe-bacon-us-national-team-member-verbally-commits-to-wisconsin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong><\/a>, who is a contender to earn a spot on the Team USA roster for next year&#8217;s Olympic Games in Tokyo. The top five programs were completed by Dynamo Swim Club, NOVA of Virginia Aquatics and the Mason Manta Rays. The complete list can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaswimming.org\/articles-landing-page\/2020\/11\/23\/2021-club-excellence-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to USA Swimming, &#8220;Now in its 21st year, the Club Excellence program identifies clubs that execute strong, well-rounded programs to produce elite 18-and-under athletes. Due to limited LCM competition access during the 2020 summer season, the Senior Development Committee chose to honor all 2020 Club Excellence Clubs in the 2021 Program. Clubs with limited access to competition will not lose status in this challenging year, but clubs who have been able to compete will be recognized and be able to improve their medal status.
