Townley Haas<\/strong> took down one the oldest American short-course records<\/a> Sunday at the ISL Grand Final<\/a>, going 1:40.49 in the 200 freestyle.<\/p>\n

The swim takes down Ryan Lochte\u2019s<\/strong> record of 1:41.08, set in Dubai on Dec. 15, 2010. It\u2019s one of the oldest records on the books for the U.S.<\/p>\n

Haas\u2019 splits<\/a>: 23.46, 25.54 (49.00), 25.83, 25.66 (51.49)<\/em><\/p>\n

Haas, swimming for the Cali Condors, finished second in the race, .24 seconds behind the London Roar\u2019s Duncan Scott.<\/strong> On Saturday, Haas had finished third in the 400 free at the International Swimming League Grand Final, helping position the Condors in the lead as they seek their first ISL crown.
