London&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Freya Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>was closing late but finished fourth at 51.43 while Energy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Femke Heemskerk\u00a0<\/strong>was fifth at 51.67.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 100 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><i>ISL record: 45.18, Caeleb Dressel, Cali Condors<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 100 free world record lasts another day as\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 45.08 to tie the overall American record of\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>from 2009, as\u00a0<strong>Amaury Leveaux&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>44.94, one of the oldest SCM records on the books, stands another day. Energy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Florent Manaudou\u00a0<\/strong>took it out ahead of Dressel at the 50 but hurt badly coming home, finishing second at 46.07 while teammate\u00a0<strong>Evgeny Rylov\u00a0<\/strong>finished in third at 46.27. Cali&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Justin Ress\u00a0<\/strong>was fourth at 46.32 as the Condors&#8217; lead has shrunk after two events. The Condors now lead Energy by 22.5 points.<\/p>\n<p>The time for Dressel is a new league record, taking down his own from last night&#8217;s free relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 200 Fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><i>ISL record: 2:03.12, Suzuka Hasegawa, Tokyo Frog Kings<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hali Flickinger\u00a0<\/strong>sailed to a win in the 200 fly with a 2:03.35 as she led a huge 1-2 finish with\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Dahlia\u00a0<\/strong>(2:05.39) to give the Condors a big push to a league title at the end of the session. Energy picked up third and fourth to stop the bleeding with\u00a0<strong>Mary-Sophie Harvey\u00a0<\/strong>(2:05.68) and\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos\u00a0<\/strong>(2:06.46) as the Condors have extended their lead to over 30 points.<\/p>\n<p>Flickinger picked up three extra points via the jackpot rule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 200 Fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><i>ISL record: 1:48.77, Daiya Seto, Energy Standard<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chad Le Clos\u00a0<\/strong>came up huge for Energy Standard and showed why he is one of the best racers in the world, running down LA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields\u00a0<\/strong>in the final 25 as Le Clos won at 1:48.57 thanks to a 27.82 final 50. Shields was second with a new American record at 1:48.66 but closed in 28.58 and couldn&#8217;t hold off Le Clos. Third went to Cali&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eddie Wang\u00a0<\/strong>(1:50.77) as Energy closed two points on the Condors.<\/p>\n<p>Lost in the shuffle, Le Clos took down\u00a0<strong>Daiya Seto&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>league record set last year at 1:48.77 as Seto still holds the world record at 1:48.24 from 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 100 Back<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><i>ISL record: 54.89, Minna Atherton, London Roar<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Olivia Smoliga<\/strong> screamed her way to a new American record of 55.04 to give the Condors some more momentum on day two of the ISL Grand Final, as she got within a couple tenths of the world record set last year in the ISL by\u00a0<strong>Minna Atherton<\/strong>. She was hardly challenged by London&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kira Toussaint\u00a0<\/strong>(55.94) and Energy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>(56.13) as Smoliga picked up six extra points via the jackpot rule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 100 Back<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><i>ISL record: 48.58, Kliment Kolesnikov, Energy Standard<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Energy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kliment Kolesnikov\u00a0<\/strong>was shot out of a cannon the second 50 of the 100 back as he flipped in fourth place at the halfway point and seemed almost out of it as LA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>held a strong lead. But Kolesnikov split a 24.84 on the second 50 and touched at 48.82, not far off his world record from yesterday at 48.58. Murphy was second at 49.29 while Cali&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Coleman Stewart\u00a0<\/strong>had a good swim in finishing third at 49.62.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 100 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>ISL record: 57.43, Beryl Gastaldello, LA Current<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Beryl Gastaldello\u00a0<\/strong>broke her own ISL record in the 100 IM with a 57.30 to keep the Current in the ISL grand final as she won ahead of Energy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anastasiya Shkurdai\u00a0<\/strong>(57.59). Energy elected to pull\u00a0<strong>Sarah Sjostrom\u00a0<\/strong>out of the 100 free to try to maximize the points here in the 100 IM, but she finished in seventh off the pace at 58.52. LA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anastasia Gorbenko\u00a0<\/strong>finished in third place at 57.91.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 100 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>ISL record: 49.88, Caeleb Dressel, Cali Condors<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>unleashed perhaps the best swim of the season with a 49.28 to absolutely destroy the world record in the 100 IM. It was his own world record that he broke from earlier this season as he went 1-2 with\u00a0<strong>Marcin Cieslak<\/strong> (51.17) and with the jackpot rule, Cieslak was the only swimmer to keep his points so all 37 points went to the Condors.
