In a day that had already seen so many records, the Cali Condors closed out Saturday’s ISL final with a world record in the women’s 4×100 medley relay. Since all four swimmers are from the same country, the record will officially stand as a world mark as the team of\u00a0Olivia Smoliga\u00a0<\/strong>(55.60),\u00a0Lilly King\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.40),\u00a0Kelsi Dahlia\u00a0<\/strong>(54.79) and\u00a0Erika Brown\u00a0<\/strong>(51.73) swam a 3:44.52 to take down the United States’ old record of 3:45.20 from the 2015 Duel in the Pool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Condors relay team takes down the old record also swum in a dual meet type format when\u00a0Courtney Bartholomew<\/strong>,\u00a0Katie Meili<\/strong>,\u00a0Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>took down the European All Stars five years ago.<\/p>\n

The Cali Condors will have control of the Skins race tomorrow, likely expecting to go with backstroke or breaststroke to use the prowess of Smoliga or King, the American record holders in the 50 back and breast. The swim also lowers the ISL record that Energy Standard set earlier this season at 3:45.58. In this race, the London Roar finished in second with a 3:45.14 with the team of\u00a0Kira Toussaint\u00a0<\/strong>(56.16),\u00a0Alia Atkinson\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.56),\u00a0Marie Wattel\u00a0<\/strong>(54.98) and\u00a0Freya Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>(50.44) while Energy Standard was third at 3:45.92.<\/p>\n
