That\u2019s the 10th-fastest time in Gators history.<\/p>\n<p>The Florida women bested Auburn by a 508-421 score, while the men brought a 521-426 victory back to Gainesville.<\/p>\n<p>The lone A cut of the third day of competition went to<strong> Bobby<\/strong> <strong>Finke<\/strong>, who routed the field in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 14:34.27, the Gators following with three straight B cuts via <strong>Brennan Gravley, John VanDeusen<\/strong> and <strong>Caleb Kravitz.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Auburn Fall Invitational Results<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/eric-friese-goes-19-46-leads-a-cut-200-free-relay-for-florida-at-auburn-invitational\/\">Day 1 Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/cecilia-porter-breaks-florida-100-breast-record-on-day-2-of-auburn-fall-invitational\/\">Day 2 Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eric Friese<\/strong> edged out teammate <strong>Adam Chaney<\/strong> to win the 100 free in 42.88. <strong>Kevin Vargas<\/strong> went 1:55.90 to win the 200 breast, and <strong>Kieran Smith<\/strong> claimed the 200 fly in 1:43.22. The Gators finished the day by going 1-2 in the 400 free relay, the winning squad composed of <strong>Trey Freeman,<\/strong> Friese, Chaney and Smith in 2:51.48. <strong>Leonardo Garcia<\/strong> got the win for Florida in platform diving, the only Gator among the top six scorers with 361.43 points. In the process, he denied Auburn&#8217;s <strong>Conner Pruitt<\/strong> a clean sweep of the diving events, Pruitt settling for second.<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, Bates went 1-2 in the 100 free with <strong>Katelyn Mack. Elise Bauer\u2019s<\/strong> win in the 1,650 free (16:07.30) cued a top-five sweep of the event for the Gators. <strong>Rosie Zavaros<\/strong> outdueled Auburn\u2019s <strong>Meghan Lee<\/strong> to win the 200 back in 1:56.47, <strong>Amanda Ray<\/strong> led a sweep of the top four places in the 200 fly with a winning time of 1:57.44.<\/p>\n<p>Florida capped the Auburn Fall Invitational by winning the 400 free relay in 3:17.02 (Mack, Bates, <strong>Kathleen Golding, Gabrielle Hillis<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Youth led the way for Auburn. Sophomore <strong>Lleyton Smith<\/strong> got the only men\u2019s win of the night, taking the 200 back in 1:43.68.
