It\u2019s third-fastest nationally, the sixth-fastest in Georgia history and an NCAA A cut, one of five <a href=\"https:\/\/georgiadogs.com\/news\/2020\/11\/20\/swimming-diving-game-recap-bulldogs-close-out-dominant-performance-at-georgia-invitational.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">collected by the Bulldogs on the day<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Urlando also split 42.42 off the front of the Georgia 400 free relay, leading the team to a time of 2:49.27. It\u2019s nearly two seconds under the NCAA A cut standard and sets a program record, Urlando joined by <strong>Javi Acevedo, Jake Magahey<\/strong> and <strong>Dillon Downing.<\/strong> The previous record dated to the 2016 NCAA Championships, and it\u2019s the third relay mark set by the Georgia men at the three day invitational, along with the 200 free and 200 medley relays.<\/p>\n<h4>Georgia Invitational Team Scores<\/h4>\n<h4>Men<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Georgia 1,480<\/li>\n<li>Florida State 1,021<\/li>\n<li>Georgia Tech 1,006<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Women<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Georgia 1,447<\/li>\n<li>Florida State 1,180<\/li>\n<li>Georgia Tech 700<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/georgia-invite-day-1-jake-magahey-courtney-harnish-javier-acevedo-with-fast-swims-for-bulldogs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Day 1 results<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/georgia-fall-invitational-bulldogs-swim-fastest-200-medley-relay-time-in-ncaa-this-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Day 2 results<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Magahey got an A cut in the 1,650, going 14:33.78, the fifth-fastest in program history for a 1-2-3 Bulldogs finish. <strong>Ian Grum<\/strong> won the 200 back in 1:40.05, second-fastest nationally and fourth in program history, and Downing won the 100 free in 42.46, second nationally and in program history. The times for Grum and Downing are B cuts. <strong>Jack Dalmolin<\/strong> won the 200 breast for Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia\u2019s <strong>Zoie Hartman<\/strong> and <strong>Danielle Della Torre<\/strong> each notched A cuts in the 200 breaststroke, going 2:06.34 and 2:06.81, the top two times in the nation. Hartman joined <strong>Maxine Parker, Gabi Fa\u2019amausili <\/strong>and <strong>Courtney Harnish<\/strong> in winning the 400 free relay in a nation\u2019s-best time of 3:14.93. Fa\u2019amausili won the 100 free in 48.58 seconds. <strong>Dakota<\/strong> <strong>Luther<\/strong> posted the nation\u2019s top time in the 200 fly at 1:53.34 (with Harnish second in the nation and the race at 1:53.50). <strong>Maddie Homovich<\/strong> and<strong> Samie Buchill<\/strong> went 1-2 in the 100 back, and <strong>Olivia Anderson\u2019s<\/strong> 16:03.61 led a top-three sweep of the mile for Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Florida State\u2019s <strong>Peter Varjasi<\/strong> had the best swimming finish <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/no-16-25-noles-take-second-at-georgia-invite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">for the Seminoles on Day 3<\/a> of the Georgia Invitational, finishing second in the 100 free in 42.91 seconds. <strong>Izaak Bastian<\/strong> was third in the men\u2019s 200 breast in 1:56.72, as did <strong>Zsofia Kurdi<\/strong> in the women\u2019s 100 free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tommy Eaton<\/strong> went 1:45.93 in the 200 fly, sixth in the race and sixth in school history. <strong>Pia Murray<\/strong> took fourth in the women\u2019s 200 back in 1:56.81, seventh in program history. <strong>Hannah Womer<\/strong> (sixth in the 200 fly) and <strong>Nick Vance<\/strong> (fifth in the 200 back) clocked in times that are eighth and ninth in program history, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia Tech added <a href=\"https:\/\/ramblinwreck.com\/swim-dive-closes-out-uga-invitational\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a pair of school records Friday<\/a>, making it five for the Georgia Invitational. That includes a third men\u2019s relay mark, with <strong>Caio Pumputis, Christian Ferraro, Austin Daniel<\/strong> and <strong>Batur Unlu<\/strong> clocking in at 2:52.15 to down a five-year-old record in the 400 free relay. It joins the 200 medley and 400 medley relays records in falling this week. Pumputis finished second in the 200 breast, and Ferraro was third in the 200 fly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>McKenzie Campbell<\/strong> went 1:57.25 in the 200 fly, lowering the record set in 2017 by <strong>Laura Branton.<\/strong> She finished fourth in the event. <strong>Claudia Butterfield<\/strong> finished fourth in the 200 breast.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Luca
