{"id":454886,"date":"2020-11-20T09:25:44","date_gmt":"2020-11-20T16:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=454886"},"modified":"2020-11-20T09:25:44","modified_gmt":"2020-11-20T16:25:44","slug":"anne-warner-cribbs-deemed-ineligible-by-ethics-committee-to-hold-office-with-usopc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/anne-warner-cribbs-deemed-ineligible-by-ethics-committee-to-hold-office-with-usopc\/","title":{"rendered":"Anne Warner Cribbs Deemed Ineligible By Ethics Committee to Hold Office With USOPC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee ethics panel has declared former Olympic swimmer <strong>Anne Warner Cribbs<\/strong> ineligible to hold office with the U.S. Olympian and Paralympian Association, an influential alumni group, according to a story from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocregister.com\/2020\/11\/19\/usopc-ethics-committee-finds-anne-cribbs-ineligible-for-olympic-alumni-group-post\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Orange County Register<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cribbs has referred to herself as an Olympic gold medalist due to her role in the 4&#215;100 medley heats team that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/issues\/1960\/swimming-world-magazine-october-1960-issue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">won gold in 1960<\/a>, when she was known as Anne Warner. But Cribbs did not compete in the final, with <strong>Patty Kempner <\/strong>swimming the breaststroke leg on the gold medal winning team at finals.
