She held off Stanford commit <strong>Torri Huske<\/strong> (25.72).<\/p>\n<p>In Greensboro, it was <strong>Farida Osman<\/strong> who touched first in the 50 free. The Egyptian Olympian won in 25.10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Claire Curzan<\/strong> was second in 25.23, followed by <strong>Lindsay Flynn<\/strong> (25.37).<\/p>\n<p>All three were faster than Indy or Sarasota.<\/p>\n<p>In Indy, University of Michigan swimmer <strong>Maggie MacNeil<\/strong> battled <strong>Mallory Comerford<\/strong> in the 50 free with MacNeil touching the wall first in 25.40 at the 2020 US Open.<\/p>\n<p>The time was a hundredth of a second off of her best time.<\/p>\n<p>Comerford touched in 25.59 to hold off Cardinal teammate <strong>Casey Fanz<\/strong> (25.76).<\/p>\n<p>In Sarasota,<strong> Alexis Mulvhill<\/strong> touched first in 25.93 ahead of <strong>Marina Spadoni<\/strong> (25.96).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 400 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Sarasota, <strong>Emma Weyant<\/strong> held off the field by four seconds to win in 4:10.38. Weyant held off <strong>Blair Stoneburg<\/strong>, who finished in 4:14.77.<\/p>\n<p>In Richmond, Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Paige Madden<\/strong> won in 4:10.42, ahead of teammate <strong>Madelyn Donohoe<\/strong> (4:17.77).<\/p>\n<p>In Indianapolis, <strong>Rachel Stege<\/strong> held off <strong>Ally McHugh<\/strong> in an extremely close 400 freestyle event. Stege touched the wall in 4:12.42, just six hundredths ahead of McHugh, who finished in 4:12.48.<\/p>\n<p>In Greensboro, A<strong>shley Twichell<\/strong> was first in the 400 free in 4:13.86, four seconds ahead of her field. Teammate <strong>Caroline<\/strong> <strong>Pennington<\/strong> was second in 4:17.61.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s 200 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Richmond, Stanford commit <strong>Torri Huske<\/strong> crushed the field to win in 2:11.18, dropping a half second from her best time.<\/p>\n<p>She held off the field by nearly three seconds. Virginia&#8217;s Alex Walsh was second in 2:14.10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kathleen Baker<\/strong> cruised past the field to win the 200 IM in Indianapolis. Baker touched the wall in 2:12.97, nearly four seconds ahead of the rest of the field.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana Swim Club\u2019s<strong> Mackenzie Looze<\/strong> finished second in 2:16.69 ahead of teammate <strong>Noelle Peplowski<\/strong> (2:16.71).<\/p>\n<p>In Greensboro, <strong>Julia Poole<\/strong> won the 200 IM in 2:14.63, ahead of <strong>Reka Gyorgy<\/strong> (2:14.95).<\/p>\n<p>In Sarasota, Weyant also swam the 200 IM, winning her site with a 2:15.36.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2020 US Open Championships continued on Friday in a virtual meet format with nine sites across the country.
