NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Lafayette College has received another Class of 2025 verbal commitment from freestyler Paige Griggs\u00a0<\/b>of Hillsborough, N.J.<\/p>\n

She will join fellow Garden State natives Ashleigh Anzevino<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0Sophia Toomey<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>on campus in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Lafayette College. Thank you to all of my coaches, teammates, friends, and family for supporting me through this journey. I can\u2019t wait to be a leopard!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Griggs, who does her club swimming with Greater Somerset County YMCA, was the runner-up in the 500 free at December’s OLY Winter Classic and finished sixth in the mile at New Jersey 13&O States in March 2019. In Summer 2019, she recorded 100% best times at the New Jersey LCM Junior Olympics where she placed eighth in both the 800m and 1500m free.<\/p>\n
