NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Lees-McRae College has picked up a big verbal commitment for the fall of 2021 from Junior National qualifier Caleb Eidson\u00a0<\/strong>of Hilton Head Island, S.C.<\/p>\n

He will join Stephen Bandy<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>of Rocky Mount, N.C. as a member of the Bobcats’ Class of 2025.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I chose Lees McRae because of the opportunities available to me and because I felt that it was just the right speed for me. It was small and close which is what I felt I needed to be successful. I also saw a chance to be apart of something greater than myself in a team that was just getting started.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented sprinter, Eidson does his club swimming with Hilton Head Aquatics and won the 50 free at South Carolina Seniors in February. In Summer 2019, he grabbed bronze in the 100m free and took sixth in the 50m free at South Carolina LCM Seniors before going on to compete at Greensboro Futures.<\/p>\n
