Kylie Masse led at halfway before her Titans team-mate Lisa Bratton moved in front. There were four women in with a chance on the final 25 but it was Emily Seebohm who timed it perfectly for victory for Standard. The Australian – who was fourth at the 150 mark – touched in 2:01.56 with 0.32 separating the first four.

Men’s 200 Backstroke

It was another Energy win in the men’s race but this was all about control from Evgeny Rylov who jackpotted. The Russian won in 1:48.69 ahead of Trident’s Jacob Pebley and Kliment Kolesnikov for another Energy one-three.

Women’s 200 Breaststroke

Kelsey Wog led a Toronto one-three with a jackpot win in 2:17.13 – matching her PB in her previous outing for three from three. Bethany Galat was second for DC with Jocelyn Ulyett third for Titans.

Men’s 200 Breaststroke

It was a one-two for the Titans from Anton McKee and Erik Persson as they took 19pts and put titans jumped into a one-point lead over Energy, 78 to 77.

Women’s 4×100 Free

Energy Standard got the win to go back on top of the leaderboard with first and third to take 30 pts. Titans were second. The defending ISL champions sit atop the standings with 107 pts.

1 Energy Standard 107

2. Toronto Titans 98

3. Team Iron 47

4. DC Trident 39

Men’s 50 Free

Florent Manaudou showcased his astonishing tempo and momentum, powering his way into the wall to take the win for Energy in 20.77. Maxim Lobanovskij was second for Iron ahead of Meiron Cheruti of DC.

Women’s 50 Free

The top two women in history did not disappoint in a showcase race. Sjostrom demonstrated her power and turnover into the wall to take the win in 23.41 ahead of Ranomi Kromowidjojo who had a superb turn and underwater and took second for Iron. It was a one-three for Energy with Femke Heemskerk taking third as they dominated the sprint freestyles.

Men’s 200IM

Leonardo Santos swam solidly throughout to lead home a one-two for Iron – the first win by anyone other than Energy or Titans. Yakov Toumarkin touched second ahead of Abrahm Devine of DC.

Women’s 200IM

Eyes were on the Iron Lady Katinka Hosszu in her home pool. Mary-Sophie Harvey led after the backstroke before Kelsey Wog went ahead with a 35.5 breaststroke leg, a lead she never relinquished to head home a Titans one-two ahead of Cieplucha with Hosszu third.

Men’s 50m Breaststroke

Emre Sakci was just 0.04 off the world record as he touched in 25.29 – a new European record. The Turk lowered his own continental record of 25.50 he set last time out, touching a sliver outside Cameron van der Burgh’s mark set in 2009. Not surprisingly it was also an ISL record. Ilya Shymanovich was second.

Women’s 50m Breaststroke

Ida Hulkko made it an Iron breaststroke double as she out-touched 15-year-old Benedetta Pilato, the Energy Standard swimmer eyeing the scoreboard with a look that indicated she was less than impressed.

Men’s 4×100 Freestyle

Toronto Titans led from start to finish to take the win ahead of Energy and DC Trident.

Energy Standard 191

Team Iron 153

Toronto Titans 151

DC Trident 90

Women’s 50 Back

Kylie Masse secured back-to-back backstroke wins, overhauling Melanie Henique in the final metres for another Toronto victory as they moved to within a point of Iron.

Men’s 50 Backstroke

Shane Ryan made it a Toronto backstroke double as he continued his fine form ahead of Robert Glinta and Evgeny Rylov.

Women’s 400 Free

Siobhan Haughey was metronomic in her splits to once more claim an emphatic win for Energy with Anna Egorova’s second place helping Toronto nudge ahead of Iron by one point.

Men’s 400 Free

Danas Rapsys dominated throughout, all long stroke and steady legs, and was on course for a dominant win. It almost went wrong though for the Lithuanian who miscalculated and stopped at the 350 mark, his hand on the wall and shaking his head before he looked across to the Energy bench and set off again. He still won though but he had to hold off a fast-finishing DC duo of Zane Grothe and Velimir Stjepanovic and certainly missed out on jackpot points.

Women’s 4×100 Medley Relay

What had promised to be a tussle between Energy and Toronto didn’t really materialise. Kylie Masse led after the backstroke leg but Pilato overhauled Wog on the breaststroke leg with Shkurdai handing over to Sjostrom as the Swede split 50.6 to anchor Energy who clocked 3:46.95. Toronto were second with the other Energy squad in third.

Energy now have the choice of stroke for the skins with much to come down to how Sjostrom feels after her return to the water on Thursday following back issues.

Men’s 4×100 Medley Relay

It was a battle between the two Energy squads before Chad Le Clos forged a big lead to hand over to Florent Manaudou, gliding into the wall in 3:21.9 with Energy taking the one-two. Toronto were in third.

Advertising: Shop At Swim360

Emre Sakci was just 0.04 off the 50m breaststroke world record, Energy Standard topped the leaderboard and Toronto Titans and Team Iron were locked in a tussle on the first

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[3,10
25277,25134,62305,125994,72128,71150,125563,72224,25129,34412
post-452226","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-featured","category-world","tag-cameron-van-der-burgh","tag-chad-le-clos","tag-duna-arena","tag-emre-sakci","tag-energy-standard","tag-international-swimming-league","tag-international-swimming-league-2020","tag-isl","tag-katinka-hosszu","tag-siobhan-haughey

ISL Match Seven Day One: Energy Standard, Iron, Titans, DC Trident

<meta property="og:title" content="ISL Match Seven, Day One: European 50 Breast Record Of 25.29 For Sakci, .04 Off WR;
