I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches who have helped me along the way. I can\u2019t wait to be a Commodore!!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primarily a distance freestyler, Vetkoetter does her club swimming with Texas Ford Aquatics and finished 13th in the mile and 21st in the 500 free at Juniors West in December before going on to win the 1500m free at College Station Sectionals in March. She also placed 15th in the 1500m free at the TYR Pro Swim Series &#8211; Knoxville.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Summer 2019, she raced to sixth place in the 800m free at Austin Sectionals and earned a best time at Junior Nationals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her best times include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">50 free \u2013 24.72<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">100 free \u2013 53.30<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">200 free \u2013 1:51.99<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">500 free \u2013 4:54.39<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1000 free \u2013 10:01.38<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1650 free \u2013 16:45.00<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">200 fly \u2013 2:02.76<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">200 IM \u2013 2:08.25<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">400 IM \u2013 4:25.33<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also competing for Wakeland High School, Vetkoetter placed sixth in the 500 free and 11th in the 200 IM at the Texas 5A State Championships during her freshman season.
