NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Vermont has received a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2021 from Wayne, Ill. native and talented freestyler Emily Rygula<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She will join Bella Chiulli<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Samantha Kissi<\/strong><\/a>, Ellie Russin<\/strong><\/a>, Jackie House<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0H<\/strong>ally Laney<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Lauren McCain<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Alexis Torykian<\/b><\/a>, and\u00a0Anna Shoudt<\/b><\/a>\u00a0in Burlington as members of the Catamounts\u2019 Class of 2025.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Vermont!! Thank you to my family, teammates, coaches and friends who have helped me get to where I am today. Go Cats!!???”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rygula, who trains year-round with Academy Bullets Swim Club, finished 12th in the 200 free at Illinois Seniors in March after earning three best times at the OLY Winter Invite in December. In summer 2019, she finaled in the 100m and 200m free before going on to compete at Minneapolis Sectionals.<\/p>\n
