{"id":451431,"date":"2020-10-30T09:54:39","date_gmt":"2020-10-30T16:54:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=451431"},"modified":"2020-10-30T09:56:36","modified_gmt":"2020-10-30T16:56:36","slug":"georgia-bulldogs-swim-past-florida-gators-in-sec-womens-showdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/georgia-bulldogs-swim-past-florida-gators-in-sec-womens-showdown\/","title":{"rendered":"Georgia Bulldogs Swim Past Florida Gators in SEC Women&#8217;s Showdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs swam past No. 10 Florida 184-116 in a women\u2019s SEC showdown on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia\u2019s <strong>Zoie Hartman<\/strong> out-dueled Florida\u2019s <strong>Vanessa Pearl<\/strong> to win the 200 IM in 2:00.27, while Pearl finished in 2:01.49.<\/p>\n<p>Hartman also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.56, ahead of teammate <strong>Danielle Dellatorre<\/strong> (1:00.99) and Pearl (1:01).<\/p>\n<p>In the 200 breast, Dellatorre won with a 2:11.38, followed by Hartman (2:13.36) and Pearl (2:13.56).<\/p>\n<p>Georgia\u2019s <strong>Maxine Parker<\/strong> won the 50 free (22.80) and 100 free (49.86), holding off Florida\u2019s<strong> Katie Mack<\/strong> in both events.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">More college news<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs also got a strong performance from senior <strong>Courtney Harnish<\/strong>, who won the 200 free (1:47.04) and 500 free (4:47.51). The Bulldogs finished 1-2 in both.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia\u2019s <strong>Callie Dickinson<\/strong> won the 200 back in 1:58.85 and the 100 fly in 53.73 ahead of teammate <strong>Dakota Luther<\/strong> (54.49.)<\/p>\n<p>Luther won the 200 fly for the Georgia Bulldogs in 1:58.95, leading a 1-2-3 finish with Dickinson (1:58.06) and Harnish (1:59.53).<\/p>\n<p>Georgia\u2019s <strong>Olivia Anderson<\/strong> won the 1000 free (9:57.35).<\/p>\n<p>In the 200 medley relay, Georgia Bulldogs\u2019 <strong>Gabi Fa\u2019Amausili<\/strong>, Hartman, Luther and Parker won in 1:39.63, holding off Florida\u2019s <strong>Lain Shaboz,<\/strong> <strong>Cecilia Porter, Kenady Beil<\/strong> and Mack (1:39.97).<\/p>\n<p>Parker, Fa\u2019Amausili, Harnish and Dellatorre won the 400 free relay in 3:20.62, nearly four seconds ahead of the Gators.<\/p>\n<p>Florida\u2019s Shaboz won the 100 back in 54.86.<\/p>\n<p>The Gators had a strong day on the diving boards as <strong>Elizabeth Perez<\/strong> (343.13),<strong> Ashley McCool<\/strong> (318.75) and <strong>Emma<\/strong> <strong>Whitner<\/strong> (293.48) went 1-2-3 on 3-meter.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, McCool led a 1-2 finish on 1-meter for Florida.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sidearmstats.com\/ugeorgia\/swimming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Results<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs swam past No. 10 Florida 184-116 in a women\u2019s SEC showdown on Friday.
