NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Butterflyer and sprint freestyler\u00a0Grace Nuhfer\u00a0<\/strong>of Greenwood, Ind. has pledged her verbal commitment to the University of Akron beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Julia Mauter<\/strong><\/a>, Kendall Craig<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Amelia<\/strong>\u00a0Kane<\/strong><\/a>, and\u00a0Abby Daniel<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as members of the Zips\u2019 class of 2025.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Akron! I am so grateful for this opportunity and I would like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout these past 11 years. I can\u2019t wait to be a part of this supportive and hard-working team! #gozips \u26a1\ufe0f”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Nuhfer does her club swimming with Greenwood Gators, Inc. and was a seven-time finalist at the WTSC Holiday Championship Invitational in November where her highest finish was a third-place showing in the 200 fly. In summer 2019, she flew to 13th in the 200m fly at Indiana LCM Seniors before going on to record three best times at NCSAs.<\/p>\n
