NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Las Vegas, Nevada native\u00a0Ethan Smith\u00a0<\/strong>will head to the East Coast next fall after verbally committing to Long Island University as a member of the Sharks’ Class of 2025.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am overjoyed and extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment, continuing my academic and athletic adventures at Long Island University. I can\u2019t feel enough gratitude for all my friends, family, and coaches in supporting and helping me become the athlete I see in the mirror. Also, a big thank you to Coach Matt Donovan for helping me through the recruiting process. I am thrilled to represent the team and program. GO SHARKS!!!? “<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Smith does his club swimming with Sandpipers of Nevada and recorded three best times at intrasquad meets throughout this past summer. He recorded four top-12 finishes at the TYR Desert Committee Championships in February and had a strong showing at the KMSC Pro-Am Classic in December.<\/p>\n
