NEW COMMIT: <\/b>Washington State University has picked up their first early verbal commitment for the fall of 2022 from <\/span>Kirsten de Goede<\/strong> of Durban, South Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am so excited to announce my verbal comittment to WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY!!! [sic] I am looking forward to joining the @wsucougarswim<\/a> team in August of 2022, training under the dynamic Head Coach @coachmatt.leach<\/a>. I will be able to train within word class facilities, pursuing my dreams of becoming a professional athlete and studying to become an actuary. Thank you so much to my coach @grahamhill196<\/a> and @iperform_global<\/a> for helping me get to this point. I am beyond grateful for the years we have spent working hard and I cannot wait to continue the journey. I am so thankful for this opportunity and I look forward to what the future holds. GO COUGS!!!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented sprinter, de Goede trains with Seagulls Swim Club and last competed at the Grand Prix Invitational in February where she finished third in the 50m\/100m free and fourth in the 100m fly. She also recorded six top-5 finishes at the KZNA Premier Provincial Championships in December.<\/span><\/p>\n
