ISL Budapest Day 2: Cali Condors Hand Defending Champs Energy Standard First Loss on Backs of Lilly King & Caeleb Dressel<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first match of the 2020 International Swimming League concluded on Saturday from the Budapest bubble as the Cali Condors handed Energy Standard their first loss led by\u00a0Caeleb Dressel <\/strong>three wins on the day and\u00a0Lilly King’s\u00a0<\/strong>skins sweep in breaststroke. King remains unbeaten in the ISL over the three breaststroke distances as she scored the most points on the match.<\/p>\n

Ryan Murphy<\/strong> of the LA Current took the backstroke skins to close out the meet as he also won the 100 backstroke on Saturday. Energy’s\u00a0Sarah Sjostrom\u00a0<\/strong>swam five races on the day in a little over an hour as it was not enough for her to get Energy past the Condors.<\/p>\n

The addition of the jackpot times, which rewards swimmers for meeting a certain margin of victory, is really playing to the hand of the Cali Condors, who are more top heavy than Energy Standard, who won the title last year based on depth.<\/p>\n

The next ISL meet will be tomorrow with the London Roar<\/a>,\u00a0DC Trident<\/a>,\u00a0Aqua Centurions<\/a>, and Team Iron<\/a> at 12 p.m. New York City time. All meets will remain in the Budapest bubble.<\/p>\n
