NEW COMMIT: <\/b>Jenks, Okla. native <\/span>Jazz Widney <\/b>has announced his verbal commitment to Alfred State College and will suit up for the Pioneers in the fall of 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

He told <\/span>Swimming World:<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

“I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming careers at Alfred State University! I would like to thank my family and coaches for supporting me through this process and most of all, thank God. Going D3 with Coach Mike’s vision will provide me with the opportunity to help build a team legacy and bring Alfred State into the spotlight. The friendly team, great atmosphere of the community, and Alfred State’s approach to education really caught my attention. I cannot wait to contribute and help the swim program grow in the coming years. Go Pioneers!!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Widney trains year-round with <\/span>American Energy Swim Club and most recently earned five best times at the Oklahoma SCY Championships where he scored bronze in both the 100 fly and 100 free. He posted four top-8 finishes at the Oklahoma LCM Championships in summer 2019 before going on to race three events at Des Moines Futures.<\/span><\/p>\n
