Within two years of its onset, the MAC program grew to 60 swimmers and continued to grow dramatically over the next several years. Between 1980 and 1985, the MAC family included more than 300 competitive swimmers, and developed into one of the largest learn-to-swim programs in the country.\u00a0 Continued growth and partnership within the local community has allowed the program to expand into the seven-facility network and ten-thousand member organization it is today.<\/p>\n<p>SwimMAC Carolina has a long history of excellence both in and out of the pool. Named as one of the top swim clubs in the nation for the past decade by USA Swimming through its Club Excellence program, SwimMac is very proud of its student-athletes, who consistently make up one of the largest contingencies on USA Swimming\u2019s annual Scholastic All-America Team. SwimMAC accumulated the largest number of USA Swimming Scholastic All-American athletes in the country in 2020, and many of their swimmers have gone on to be highly regarded recruits sought out by colleges across the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSwimMAC is excited about our new partnership with TYR as the interactions to date have been just that, a partnership,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/eric-lane-to-succeed-terry-fritch-as-head-coach-of-swim-mac-carolina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">head coach<\/a> <strong>Eric Lane<\/strong>. \u201cThe customer service and relationships with various parts of our program have been top-notch.
