NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Louisville, Ky. native and U.S. Open qualifier Jack Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>has announced his verbal commitment via social media to the University of Notre Dame for the fall of 2022.<\/p>\n

He will join Tate Bacon<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>of Wake Forest, N.C. as a member of the Fighting Irish’s Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I am beyond humbled to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame! Thank you to my family, coaches, and friends who have supported me along the way. I\u2019m excited to be a part of the Notre Dame family! Go Irish!! \u2618\ufe0f\u2618\ufe0f \u2618\ufe0f”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented IMer and mid-distance freestyler, Anderson does his club swimming with Lakeside Swim Team and owns several Junior National and U.S. Open cuts. He most recently placed eighth in the 400m IM and 18th in the 200m IM at the Des Moines TYR Pro Swim Series in March after finishing 20th in both the mile and the 400 IM at Juniors East in December.<\/p>\n

In summer 2019, he placed fifth in the 1500m free at Greensboro Sectionals before going on to earn two best times at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n
