NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Indiana University has scored a new verbal commitment for the Class of 2026 from Fenton, Mich. native\u00a0Gracie Olsen\u00a0<\/strong>who announced her decision via CollegeSwimming.<\/p>\n

She will arrive in Bloomington along with Mya DeWitt<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>of Fort Wayne, Ind. at the start of the 2022-23 season.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“To me, the most important aspect of a team is the culture and how well everyone works together. IU feels like home to me. As soon as I stepped on campus I knew that this is where I want to spend my four years! The coaches and swimmers are so easy to talk to and I have had so much fun getting to know them and what the program has to offer. I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic career at IU and cannot wait to be a part of the Hoosier family!!\u2764\ufe0f?”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Primarily a freestyler and butterfly, Olsen trains year-round with OLY Swimming and raced six events at Juniors East in December. She earned three gold medals at the Michigan Open in March 2019 before going on to record seven top-5 finishes at the NCSA Age Group Championships.<\/p>\n

Last summer, she recorded 100% best times at Cleveland Sectionals and finaled in the 100m fly at NCSAs.<\/p>\n
