NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The Ohio State University has added a new verbal commitment to their Class of 2026 from in-state standout and U.S. Open qualifier Jessica Eden\u00a0<\/strong>of Mentor, Ohio.<\/p>\n

She will join Sanna Peterson<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>of Richmond, Va. in Columbus at the start of the 2022-23 season.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I chose The Ohio State University for its amazing coaching staff, and the great academic opportunities it provides. I also have enjoyed getting to know the team, and I have felt their support even with the limitations of covid! I can not wait to be a buckeye!! Go Bucks!\u2764\ufe0f?”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented IMer and backstroker, Eden does her club swimming with Lake Erie Silver Dolphins and owns several Junior National and U.S. Open standards. She most recently competed at Lake Erie Seniors in March where she posted four top-3 finishes and placed 10th in the 400 IM at Juniors East in December.<\/p>\n

In summer 2019, she finaled in four events at Columbus Sectionals before going on to take fifth in the 400m IM, 10th in the 200m IM, and 15th in the 200m back at NCSAs.<\/p>\n
