Photo Courtesy: Hanson Media.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><em>Swimming World<\/em><\/strong> spoke to Sam yesterday \u00a0at the official launch at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre and this is what he had to say about making the squad, the champions who have gone before him and his future.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s great to make this Flippers Squad, good for myself and for everyone who works hard all the time, good recognition, a pathway and a good opportunity to train (in the National Camp in January) with other people like us, and who work just as hard and are as good as us. Photo Courtesy: Delly Carr (Swimming Australia).<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Minna Atherton<\/strong> (Moreton Bay) held on to beat <strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> (Griffith University) in a tightly fought women\u2019s 200m backstroke \u2013 Atherton leading all the ay to win in 2:03.323 to Seebohm\u2019s 2:03.42 with <strong>Molly O\u2019Callaghan<\/strong> (St Peters Western) third in 2:10.88.
