NEW COMMIT: <\/b>Sprint freestyle specialist <\/span>Hailey Hicks <\/b>of Raleigh, N.C. has verbally committed to the University of Georgia beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

She will arrive in Athens as a member of the class of 2025 along with<\/span> Angharad Evans<\/b><\/a>,<\/span> Ava Kennedy<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Briana Roberson<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Hailey Galbraith<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Dun\u00e9 Coetzee<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Mia Abruzzo<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Lily Gardner<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Mary Martin<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Elsa Fretz<\/b><\/a> and <\/span>Rachel Stege<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/span><\/p>\n

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Georgia!! I would like to thank my coaches, teammates, family, & friends for everything they have done to help me get to this point! A Junior National qualifier, Hicks does her club swimming with YMCA of the Triangle Area and raced the three events at Juniors East in December. Last summer, she finaled in three events at Greensboro Sectionals before going on to earn gold in the 50m free, bronze in the 100m free, and take fifth in the 50m back at TYR Summer Seniors.<\/span><\/p>\n
