Heilman assaulted the 13-14 national age group all-time rankings this weekend as he swam the 50 &amp; 100 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p>Heilman started the weekend with a 20.54 in the 50 free, which put him sixth all-time in the 13-14 national age group rankings as he will have another year to catch\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/michael-andrew-erases-three-national-age-group-records-during-night-two-at-nasa-junior-nationals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Andrew&#8217;s<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>19.76 from 2014. He dropped nearly a second off his best time of 21.50 that he swam in December 2019 when he was 12.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Heilman also swam a 48.81 in the 100 butterfly which was a huge improvement off his best time of 50.82 from January 2020. That swim put him tied for fourth all-time with <strong>Will Hayon\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Ronald Dalmacio\u00a0<\/strong>as Andrew holds the national age group record at 46.95.<\/p>\n<p>He finished the weekend with a 45.66 in the 100 freestyle to put himself tied for 15th all-time in the 13-14 age group again with Hayon.
