NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Wyoming has picked up a new verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Caitlyn Groff\u00a0<\/strong>of Plano, Texas.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Sydney Metzler<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and Katie McPherson<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Pokes\u2019 class of 2025.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at the University of Wyoming! I would like to thank everyone, who has helped me through this process. I would also like to thank my family, friends, and teammates for their non-stop support. Finally, I would like to thank my coaches for helping me become the swimmer and person I am today, in and out of the pool. Here\u2019s to my new journey in life!! Go Pokes!! ?”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented breaststroker, Groff swims year-round with City of Plano Swimmers and earned best times in all three breaststroke events at Juniors West in December. Last summer, she placed 15th in the 200m breast at Jenks Sectionals before going on to race that event at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n
