NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Stanford University has added another valuable addition to their roster beginning in the fall of 2021 from Columbus, Ohio native and sprint specialist Avery Voss<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Hayden Zheng<\/strong><\/a>, Matt Fenlon<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Hayden Kwan<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Gabe Machado\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>on The Farm as a member of the Cardinal\u2019s class of 2025.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m so excited to announce that I\u2019ll be continuing my academic and swimming careers at Stanford University! I want to thank my coaches, my family, and my friends for their support through this process. I can\u2019t wait to join Stanford\u2019s amazing community! A talented sprint freestyler, Voss swims year-round with Upper Arlington Swim Club under head coach\u00a0Mike de Bear <\/strong>and owns the Olympic Trials cut in the 50m free. He won the 50 free and 100 free at the Ned Reeb Invite in December and most recently notched 100% best times at the MAKO Senior Circuit in March.<\/p>\n

Last summer, he registered five top-18 finishes and five lifetime bests at Ohio LCM Seniors before going on to earn bronze in the 50m free and take ninth in the 100m free at Geneva Futures.<\/p>\n
