NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Olympic Trials qualifier\u00a0Parker Macy\u00a0<\/strong>of Irvine, Calif. has announced his verbal commitment to the University of Notre Dame beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Andrew Guziec<\/b><\/strong><\/a>, Nick Tommasone<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Chris Guiliano<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Max Myers<\/b><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Owen Grimaldi\u00a0<\/b><\/a>with the Fighting Irish as a member of the class of 2025.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I am both humbled and proud to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Notre Dame! I would like to thank God, my family, my coaches, and my friends for supporting me through the whole process. GO IRISH! \u2618\ufe0f #cantstoptheshamrock”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented breaststroker and IMer, Macy does his club swimming with Irvine Novaquatics and owns three U.S. Open standards in addition to the Olympic Trials cut in the 200m breast. He finaled in three events at the Toyota U.S. Open in December and most recently notched six best times at College Station Sectionals. Last summer, he raced three events at Phillips 66 Nationals and<\/p>\n
