NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Hawaii has a new addition to their growing class of 2025 from breaststroker Kathryn Ivanov\u00a0<\/strong>of London, Ontario.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Kira Hobbs<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0Julianna Penner<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>in Manoa in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to University of Hawai’i at M\u0101noa, where I will be continuing my academic and swimming career! Thank you to everyone who supported me, this is a dream come true. I cannot wait to compete at a Division 1 level with the Rainbow Warriors and Wahines! Go Bows ??’<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ivanov swims year-round with Middlesex Swimming and holds the No. 1 time in Canada – and seventh-fastest overall – in the 50 SCM breast. She most recently won the 200m breast and grabbed bronze in the 100m breast at Ontario Juniors after taking second in the 50m breast at the Ontario Junior International meet.<\/p>\n

Last summer, she raced to 15th in the 100m breast at Canadian Juniors and earned the bronze medal in the 100m breast at Ontario Provincials. She also finished 17th in the 50m breast at Canadian Trials in April 2019.<\/p>\n
