Dartmouth’s\u00a0Connor LaMastra\u00a0<\/strong>will be transferring from the Ivy League to the Big Ten and will swim his final year with the Northwestern Wildcats<\/a>, he announced on Friday.<\/p>\n

LaMastra was a key contributor to Dartmouth before the team was cut this off-season<\/a>, as he was second in the 500 free, third in the 1000, and third in the 200 fly at the Ivy League Championships this season. LaMastra is already the fastest swimmer on the Northwestern team in the 500 as he would have been the only one under 4:20 last season. In the 200 butterfly, he would have been second on the Wildcats roster but would still be within A-final scoring range at the Big Ten Championships.<\/p>\n

He will also be a good addition to the 800 free relay team as Northwestern was sixth at Big Tens last season in that event.<\/p>\n
