{"id":443754,"date":"2020-08-12T11:28:49","date_gmt":"2020-08-12T18:28:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=443754"},"modified":"2020-08-12T11:28:49","modified_gmt":"2020-08-12T18:28:49","slug":"cody-miller-shows-off-new-training-setup-with-backyard-endless-pool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/cody-miller-shows-off-new-training-setup-with-backyard-endless-pool\/","title":{"rendered":"Cody Miller Shows off New Training Setup with Backyard Endless Pool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>American Olympian <strong>Cody Miller<\/strong> showed off his new backyard pool setup, featuring a personalized endless pool, in a video posted to YouTube Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Miller, rocking his Team USA flag cap, provides a tour of his new backyard, complete with new deck and patio area, before showing off the endless pool that bears his name on the side \u2013 that he\u2019s quite proud of having help installed during his home improvement kick.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1TyJi2F0L6M\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Miller goes through some of the options available on the pool, which he\u2019s been using to keep in shape during quarantine. \u201cTraining has been going really, really well, all things considered,\u201d Miller said.<\/p>\n<p>Miller, who won bronze at the Rio Olympics with an American record in the 100 breast and took gold as part of the American medley relay, teased future videos where he gets into the specifics of the pool\u2019s workout settings via its app. He\u2019s taken to YouTube <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/an-ode-to-cody-miller-and-his-vlogs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">even more during the pandemic<\/a>, to announce everything from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/cody-miller-wife-ali-announce-first-pregnancy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">his wife\u2019s pregnancy<\/a> to training updates.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday\u2019s video includes a cameo by fellow Indiana alum and Olympian <strong>Blake Pieroni,<\/strong> and Miller\u2019s niece, who he is teaching to swim.<\/p>\n<p>While the title of the video is \u201cMy $1,000,000 Training Pool,\u201d the actual cost of the pool is less, though not in Miller\u2019s eyes, especially after driving up to three hours round trip or having <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/for-lilly-king-and-indiana-pros-quarantine-training-means-heading-to-pond\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to resort to ponds<\/a> to train during lockdown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, this is not a million-dollar pool,\u201d Cody Miller says. \u201cIt\u2019s not a cheap pool, but it\u2019s not a million dollars.
