NEW COMMIT: <\/b>Frisco, Texas native <\/span>Andrew Guziec <\/b>has announced his verbal intention to continue his academic and swimming career at the University of Notre Dame beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

He will join <\/span>Nick Tommasone<\/b><\/a>,<\/span> Chris Guiliano<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Max Myers<\/b><\/a> and <\/span>Owen Grimaldi <\/b><\/a>with the Fighting Irish as a member of the class of 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my swimming career at Notre Dame! Huge thanks to everyone who has supported me along the way! I cannot wait to be a part of this incredible team! GO IRISH!! ???\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented distance freestyler and breaststroker, Guziec is a Junior National qualifier who does his club swimming with Lakeside Aquatic Club. He most recently notched eight lifetime bests at College Station Sectionals in March and placed 22nd in the mile at Juniors West in December.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last summer, he earned 100% best times at Austin Sectionals before going on to earn bronze in the 1500m free at Des Moines Futures. He also had three additional top-15 performances in Iowa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
